CO₂ Coating

Ensure coating quality and significantly reduce paint VOC pollution

[System introduction]

This system uses thinner instead of spraying (diluent solvent) and liquefied carbon dioxide (liquid carbon dioxide) for spraying.

By using liquefied carbon dioxide as a dilution solvent, not only can VOC emissions be reduced, but also the design of coating efficiency and drying performance can be improved.

Advantages of liquid carbon dioxide

  1. Harmless to human body.
  2. The impact on the environment is small.
    * Liquefied carbon dioxide is a raw material that recovers carbon dioxide produced by oil refineries, etc. without releasing it into the atmosphere. Therefore, it will not cause new greenhouse gas (CO₂) emissions.
  3. Very good dissolving power and viscosity reducing effect, easy to volatile.
  4. Significantly reduce costs.

Advantage one

VOC is reduced by about 50%! !

[Common method]

[Recommended method]

※We recommend adding a carbonic acid mixed paint thinner suitable for paint use.

Advantage two

Since only the volatile components are changed, the quality, appearance and coating effect of the paint film will not be affected! !
Use “internal atomization” to promote atomization through the rapid volume expansion of liquefied carbon dioxide, and also enhance the appearance and bonding efficiency! !

Advantage three

Can be used in existing coating lines! ! Except for painting equipment, there is no need to replace equipment.

Comparison of technologies to reduce VOC pollution

Compared with water-based and powder coatings, the introduction of barriers is smaller, and the VOC effect is lower than that of high-solid coatings.

High solids coating: a coating with a high solids content (nonvolatile content) compared to general solvent based coatings.
Waterborne coating: The generic name for a coating that can be diluted with water instead of thinner to dilute the coating.
Powder coating: powder coating contains only film-forming components, and no solvent is used in the coating.
